What does therapy with me look like?

Together, we'll explore the challenges that might be appearing in your life and help you reach steady ground. I use talk therapy, mindfulness, somatic techniques, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and art making interventions in sessions. Together we will co-create a space where you can safely explore your beliefs and patterns in order to bring about change and healing to ultimately help you live a life you find satisfaction in.

Who I work with:

I work with adults and adolescents who need support in working through trauma and abuse histories, managing anxiety, depression, and major life events or transitions. Alongside talk therapy, trauma, CBT and DBT, interventions I specialize in using music therapy techniques (including therapeutic playlist making, music & imagery, and many other sound healing experiences) in order to support your own self care practices.

My identities:

My pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a 1.5 generation Filipina-American, a Californian, a New Yorker, a musician, an all-around creative, and a nature lover.

Before joining Creative Now Therapy:

My work with adults, and older Asian American-identifying adults in inpatient psychiatric care has informed my ability to engage clients with empathy and compassion. I've also worked with adults & adolescents as a music teacher and as a music therapist for over 10 years in a multitude of settings. Additionally, I've worked with adolescents and families in outpatient psychiatric care in order to provide care to not just the client, but with parents and their families through parent education.
