Somatic Therapist & Nervous System Healing | Kingston, NY & Surrounding Areas

Too mystical for your therapist, too tender for your astrologer?

You need a space where your weirdness and your wounds can finally hold hands. Welcome in. This is Depth Work for Spiritual Beings.

I’ve lived the burnout, too.

For years, I shaped myself around what others expected, running on Ritalin, praise, and a quiet desperation to outrun the discomfort of my anxiety. I was the achiever, the helper, and the rockstar. But underneath the performance was a body full of grief and a spirit begging to be met.

It wasn’t until I stopped running from my pain and started listening to it that something shifted. We don’t shift by ascending, we shift by returning. To the body. To the truth. To the field of consciousness that’s been pulsing through us the whole time.

Now I hold space for others to come home to that same field. To soften their grip. To tune into the resonance of their own truth. This isn’t about fixing, it’s about remembering. And it’s real, raw, sacred work.

The Weight Behind the Wisdom

You didn’t become wise by accident. You became wise by surviving, by holding, by alchemizing pain into presence. But just because you carry it well doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy. What if the next chapter isn’t about holding it all together, but unleashing who you were before the world asked you to shrink?

You are not separate from the field, you are the field.

It’s possible to return to your wholeness when you’re met in a space that honors both your body’s intelligence and your soul’s signal.  Let’s step into the grief, the rage, the mystery, the aliveness of your own becoming. The body is a portal, the ache is a teacher not a flaw, it’s a compass pointing you back to your truth.

My purpose is to help you walk with you through the holy muck, to shed the armored selves, soften the survival strategies, and come home to the truth that’s been humming beneath it all along.

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Cris Maria Fort Garcés

I’m a Latinx licensed psychotherapist, somatic practitioner, and mystically rooted guide with nearly two decades of experience walking between many worlds—clinical, creative, ancestral, and spiritual.

I’ve worked in inpatient psychiatry, led group practices, studied ritual and somatic depth work, and supported hundreds of clients, including fellow therapists and healers. As a first-generation child of immigrants, I carry both science and spirit in my bones. I’m a mystic with a clinical license—someone who can hold shadow and laughter, silence and ceremony, data and dreams.

My approach is deeply embodied and spiritually rooted. I weave together somatic psychotherapy, intuitive tools, and earth-based ritual to support clients who crave something more whole than just coping—something that honors the sacred as a vital part of healing.

Most therapists won’t pull a tarot card mid-session, talk about your Chiron return, or notice how your nervous system flinched when you said “I’m fine.” Most spiritual coaches won’t understand countertransference, attachment repair, or how trauma lives in your fascia.

I do both. That’s what makes this space rare.

In my care, your grief, magic, rage, lineage, and spiritual weirdness are all welcome. I’ve helped clients reclaim their intuition, honor their sensitivity as strength, and return to themselves—fully, unapologetically, and with sacred purpose.

Systems that don’t honor the soul will always ask you to abandon yourself.

I became who I am through fire. Through the ache of trying to make myself digestible in systems that couldn’t hold my depth. I survived abuse, addiction, self-hatred, and burnout. I climbed the academic ladder with shaking hands and a splintered spirit, chasing achievement while silencing my needs. I lived hard, New York nights, world wanderings, and I wore the armor of excellence until it cracked.

The shift came when I let it all collapse. When I stopped contorting to fit into healing models that pathologized complexity and erased the sacred. Now, I don’t lead from theory. I lead from embodiment, from lived initiations, from scars that became altars. I hold space for what most bypass: your spiritual truth, your nervous system’s language, your shadow, and your light. I’ll guide you from the underworld. From the remembering. This space makes room for your full magic to rise.

Rooted in Science. Shaped by Soul.

Since starting my practice, I’ve guided hundreds of soul-seeking, big-feeling humans through the terrain of grief, shame, spiritual burnout, and identity unraveling. Together, we’ve reawakened intuition, rewired old patterns, and remembered truths buried under years of coping.

This work is sacred, and it’s not for everyone.

This work might not be the right fit if…

  • You struggle to honor boundaries around time, communication, or payment and find those limits frustrating.

  • You’re looking for someone to be on-call emotionally, quickly help fix you, or to tell you what to do/give you advice, rather than a guide who helps you access your own knowing.

  • You’re not open to blending the clinical with the mystical: somatic work with intuitive, creative, or spiritual tools.

  • You often feel stuck in cycles of blame, resentment, or victimhood and aren’t quite ready to explore your role in patterns: ie. you feel triggered by shared reflections and pushes towards self-responsibility.

  • You prefer to do a lot of talking or stay in the rational and intellectual realm, and avoid emotional, creative, or body-based experiences in session.

  • You need crisis-level support or urgent intervention due to ongoing intense emotional emergencies, rather than a spacious, integrative process.

This work is relational, deep, and intentional. It’s spacious but also boundaried, I walk with you, but I don’t carry you. If you’re excited by that kind of partnership, we’ll likely be a great fit.

And if you discover you need something different, that’s okay too. There are many beautiful forms of support out there, and I’m always glad to offer referrals to help you find the right space for where you are right now.

Who this work is for

  • You’re a deep-feeling human who’s tired of shrinking, you sense more than you can explain and want a space that welcomes your nuance, soul, and spirituality.

  • You’ve done a lot of deep inner work, but you’re craving integration, something that weaves together the emotional, the somatic, and the spiritual.

  • You’re spiritually curious and open: drawn to ritual, tarot, astrology, ancestral wisdom, or energy work, even if you don’t yet have the language for it.

  • You’re a helper, healer, therapist, artist, or caregiver who’s always holding space for others but longs to be fully held yourself.

  • You’re moving through burnout, grief, or a threshold moment of change, and you want support that honors your shadows as much as your light.

This work is for those who are done splitting themselves in two. The grief and the glitter. The sacred and the shadow. The healer who hides their rage, the artist who longs for ritual, the caregiver who needs holding.

Here, you don’t have to translate your tenderness or tone down your mysticism. You get to unravel, integrate, and remember. This is a space where the ache becomes invitation and your wholeness has room to breathe.
