Therapy in Hudson, NY | Counselor Cris Fort
Softly, the session begins. Slowly, the noise of the outside world fades and your breath starts to find its rhythm again. Gently, you begin to feel the space holding you, open, quiet, and steady. Within this container, connection becomes the pathway to healing. Creatively alive and emotionally rich, Hudson offers the perfect atmosphere for this kind of work. Emotionally, many arrive feeling scattered or unseen, yet through presence and energy alignment, they rediscover calm and connection. By the end, the space feels like an anchor, a reminder that you can come home to yourself at any time. Truly, each session is an experience of connection. Energy flows, emotions move, and what once felt separate begins to harmonize again.
Here’s what our work might look like:
This is a living, breathing container, rooted in clinical depth, mystical tradition, and intuitive truth. It meets you where you are and evolves as you do.
Free 20-Minute Discovery Call
A no-pressure space to sense resonance, ask questions, and feel whether this work is aligned with your soul’s current threshold.
Sacred Intake + Elemental Assessment
Before we begin, you’ll receive a set of reflective prompts and guided inquiries to help map your internal landscape, what’s shifting, unraveling, or calling for integration. This includes an elemental assessment to reveal imbalances across earth, air, fire, and water. We’ll then meet live to orient together, set intentions, and prepare the ground for our work.

Somatic Therapy
LEARN MORESometimes the body is the only one telling the truth. Somatic psychotherapy gives that truth space to unfold. As awareness deepens, the walls of defense start to soften, and your natural vitality begins to return, not as effort but as ease.
Shadow Work Therapy
LEARN MOREWhat you reject often holds what you’ve been seeking. As you bring curiosity to those rejected parts, shame begins to lose its shape. The work becomes less about fixing yourself and more about remembering the wholeness that’s always been there.
Expressive eco art therapy for emotional healing
LEARN MORECreatively freeing and restorative, eco art therapy helps emotions find expression beyond words. Using color, texture, and natural materials, you give form to what the heart holds quietly. The process feels grounding, playful, and alive. Often, the act of creating rekindles connection between you and the natural world, between your body and emotion, between stillness and movement. By the end, clarity feels both earned and effortless.
Gestalt Therapy
LEARN MOREThis is a creative and direct path toward integration. It focuses on what’s unfolding in real time, helping you notice the ways you interrupt your own vitality. Through dialogue, awareness, and presence, you begin to understand that healing isn’t about eliminating parts of yourself but learning to include them.

What clients say...
When I first met Cris, I was at a moment in my life where I was unsure of every possible direction. All of my decisions were based on fear and a recent change in my health had me wondering what kind of life I would have and holy crap I'm going to die. Being in front of Cris's intellect, warmth and grace literally gave me strength I didn't know was there and the assurance of my ability to navigate conflict with grace and evenness. A truly gifted guide and stellar human being.
- Grey
Cris has been integral to my growth. She is incredibly kind, understanding, and supportive, while also challenging me to face things I may have been ignoring/dismissing. I’m really grateful to have been able to work with her.
- Autumn
Cris is a wonderful therapist. As a pediatrician, I was prone to over-thinking. She has helped me to work through my thoughts and to be in tune with my body.

How does virtual therapy work?
Consistently structured yet deeply personal, virtual sessions create a space of connection even through a screen. Every week, we meet for 45 minutes through a secure, HIPAA-compliant Zoom link. Gradually, you’ll notice how each meeting builds rhythm, safety, and depth, allowing the process to unfold naturally.
What kind of therapy do you offer?
My sessions draw from somatic therapy, gestalt therapy, shadow work therapy, and eco art therapy. These practices invite you to reconnect with your body, spirit, and intuition through grounded awareness.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
Respectfully maintaining the flow of our work is important. If you need to cancel or change your session, please reach out at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made later are billed in full. Flexibly, you may cancel up to four times per year with notice at no cost, which helps preserve both continuity and commitment.
What if I’m not sure this is the right fit?
Gently exploring is part of the process. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can experience the tone and connection of the work before beginning. Usually, this first meeting brings clarity about whether this path feels aligned with what you need.
With whom do you work and where?
