Therapy in Hudson Valley, NY | Counselor Cris Fort
In the Hudson Valley, everything moves with quiet intention. The light over the river, the rhythm of the trees, the creative pulse of each town it all mirrors how healing unfolds here: with presence, patience, and a sense of flow. In this landscape, transformation feels less like striving and more like remembering what it means to be fully alive. My sessions are rooted in that same natural movement. Healing, to me, is an act of reconnection bringing energy, thought, and emotion into harmony. Each meeting becomes a space to slow down, listen deeply, and return to what is already whole within. This region’s blend of history, artistry, and nature makes it the perfect setting for the kind of integrative, soul-centered work I offer. The Hudson Valley holds both grounding and expansion, inviting balance between the visible and the unseen, the everyday and the sacred.
Here’s what our work might look like:
This is a living, breathing container, rooted in clinical depth, mystical tradition, and intuitive truth. It meets you where you are and evolves as you do.
Free 20-Minute Discovery Call
A no-pressure space to sense resonance, ask questions, and feel whether this work is aligned with your soul’s current threshold.
Sacred Intake + Elemental Assessment
Before we begin, you’ll receive a set of reflective prompts and guided inquiries to help map your internal landscape, what’s shifting, unraveling, or calling for integration. This includes an elemental assessment to reveal imbalances across earth, air, fire, and water. We’ll then meet live to orient together, set intentions, and prepare the ground for our work.

Somatic Therapy
LEARN MOREEvery body has its own language. In this work, you begin to understand yours, not through analysis but through experience. Somatic psychotherapy invites you to meet yourself where you actually live: in the here, in the now, in the body itself.
Shadow Work Therapy
LEARN MOREThe most profound healing happens when you stop dividing yourself into good and bad. In this space, everything belongs, the anger, the longing, the doubt, the hope. As you learn to hold it all, inner conflict transforms into strength.
Expressive eco art therapy for emotional healing
LEARN MOREThe Hudson Valley’s artistic energy is woven into the spirit of this work. In eco art therapy, creativity becomes a bridge between emotion and expression. Using natural and repurposed materials, we explore feelings that words alone can’t hold. As the creative process unfolds, it transforms awareness into form and reflection into clarity, reminding us that creation itself is a path to healing.
Gestalt Therapy
LEARN MOREYou learn to inhabit your experiences fully. It’s not about perfection but presence. As you engage with your emotions and sensations directly, insight turns into transformation. Each moment becomes an invitation to live with greater depth and authenticity.

What clients say...
When I first met Cris, I was at a moment in my life where I was unsure of every possible direction. All of my decisions were based on fear and a recent change in my health had me wondering what kind of life I would have and holy crap I'm going to die. Being in front of Cris's intellect, warmth and grace literally gave me strength I didn't know was there and the assurance of my ability to navigate conflict with grace and evenness. A truly gifted guide and stellar human being.

Cris has been integral to my growth. She is incredibly kind, understanding, and supportive, while also challenging me to face things I may have been ignoring/dismissing. I’m really grateful to have been able to work with her.
- Autumn
Cris is a wonderful therapist. As a pediatrician, I was prone to over-thinking. She has helped me to work through my thoughts and to be in tune with my body.

How does virtual therapy work?

What kind of therapy do you offer?
My work brings together somatic therapy, gestalt therapy, shadow work therapy, and eco art therapy, integrating intuition, spiritual reflection, and body awareness for authentic transformation.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
You may reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours before your appointment without penalty. Later changes are billed in full. Each client can cancel up to four sessions per year with proper notice at no cost to maintain flexibility while keeping continuity in the process.
What if I’m not sure this is the right fit?
I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a feel for the space, the rhythm, and the connection. It’s a simple way to sense alignment before starting the journey.
